Face Cards

There's a thread in the FAQ section, but only mods can post. So here's a new thread!

End All Be All Knowledge -- http://forums.joltonline.com/showthread.php?595220-All-Known-Face-Cards . Too bad it is long, unorganized and contradicts itself in a few places. That being said the first post is pretty and recently up to date, the contradictions only come out if you read the whole thing. I could go through and organize/sort it out, but a tad short on time recently for such a project.

5 cards you can get at 41+: Granola (Granola Mines), Lobster (Discipline Beach), Light (Grey Mountains), Time (Forest of Youth) and Beauty (Fenshire).

2 more at 51/52: Death (Ruins of Pheebor) and Snail (Minzia Marshland or Jungles of Minzia, some conflict on this location if it is both or not).

2 still not discovered by anyone: Jester and Grue.

I'll get that thrown up in there tomorrow. I'll edit it and put the locations in. Too tired atm.

Lost ZM are still being investigated. Though there was a day, two days ago where I got no interest at the AP refresh. i added that to my ticket about the 'wrong' interest and then magically at later in the day I got my expected interest.

Got Beauty just now in Fenshire at 42. I spent all of 41 to 42 there with no card drop, had several turns there 40 to 41 as well. Got pest control Fenshire shortly into 41. Ran out of subs that were 46+. Fairly certain you have to be 42+ to get beauty.

I been farming in the Fenshire also, no luck. Will get to 43 soon, maybe my luck will turn then.

Found: The Lobster

Sublocation off of Discipline Beach. I'm level 47 right now.

This is the 2nd sublocation card I've found, the previous being The Granola in a sub off of the Granola Mines, which is nice as I didn't have to waste AP and get nothing in return except the occasional card.

Got the Beauty, fenshire level 43. I reccomend people wait till 43 to get this one. Next question, what does it do? I thought it added an extre HP? but it hasn't happened yet. I did equip it though? any thoughts on the effect of this card?

Beauty is indeed a 5% across the board shop discount, which is very nice.

The Lobster gives you an extra 15% carrying capacity, and The Granola is as discussed.

As far as I know, The Light, The Time, and The Snail are not known yet really what they do. I think Death takes 2% or so off your FWP.

So far, nobody has found The Grue or The Jester.

What level did you get the granola? I have been farming it as soon as I got the beauty. I am starting to think I should come back later when I am a higher level.

I was either 46 or 47, Jim, but I'm not sure if you can find Granola before that or not. It is certainly a useful card, with +2 HP!

200+ AP at the beach and no Lobster yet. Have Beauty and Time already though. There's two different suggested tricks for Granola. One is to cross you fingers hope you get a sub, then exploit the free subs bug till you spawn 10+ and farm there till it drops. The other is to spend 20-25AP after you get a card, then go to the mines (as the 'average' drop rate is 30turns per card drop).

Which beach? There are more than one, if you look at the welcome screen for the areas anyway, or is there a more scientific method.

Akre, you lucky mug! Congrats and well done. Looks like you are definitely not having the card dropping bug that I and others are suffering at the moment.

Over 400 AP without a card drop for me; still need 3 Infinities, a 9 and 2 Face Cards. I hope they fix this bug soon, but very glad to see you get the set!

That +2% FWP will be so nice.

Huh... if you only have 4 normal cards left to find, I wonder if buying the 4-card thingie for 6 (or maybe 10, can't remember) coconuts would fill out your deck, then? Might be worth it if four's all you need.

sylvaton a noble idea but what a waste of perfectly good coconuts to buy something that you find for fre when there are no bugs to stop you! and slevyas by the way you must be lvl 51 they both droped right away right after i gained that lvl:) Smile

Glad to hear they dropped in the end, Akre!

I am having a similar drought I've noticed, and am a looooooooooooong ways from level 51. 1+ million xp to go yet.

There is definitely a known issue with cards not dropping when you get close to a complete set, here's the link if you're interested:

Anyways, I'll be paying close attention to that thread and in the meantime, I'll keep my nose to the grindstone for level 51!

All 5 face cards I can get and all but 2 Infinities. Yet 4 lvls to go to 51. Smile

Granola was the least fun, 44ap in the Mines for little to nothing, well besides the face card. Grind, Grind, Grind!

Not too bad there, Swith, 44 AP for the Granola. Thank goodness these things can be found in a sublocation! Otherwise yeah was a total loss of AP in those mines. Best of luck on those final cards.
