| Yep, Germany looks good, as always.
I'm picking Argentina to walk away with the Pot of Gold this time around.
I love World Cup years!!!

| I reckon you're spot on with Argentina. Messi's a one man football team
Spain have also got some wicked talent.

| Mia, I'm not sure if it's possible with the draw, but I would love to see a Brasil-Argentina final!
So Mr. Multiple, who's your pick for winning it all?

| I think we're looking at a Spain / Argentina final. And as much as I'd prefer to see the Argies take it, I reckon the Spaniards have too much class. | |

| Lest we forget .. it wasn't too long ago that USA beat Italy, and came close to beating Brazil in the same comp. They may still surprise. | |

| I am going to say that the USA is going to win it. I figured someone has to go for an underdog (and I mean a real low underdog). But I will secretly go for my favorite team Brazil. | |

| Even though Michael Ballack is out, I think that game proved them to be strong. Klose, Podolski, and Lahm. Go Germany!
I think Brazil, Portugal, Spain are some of the top picks too.
South Korea is also pretty good. I am very impress with their energy. Offense or defense, it's amazing how they swarm the field.

| Hey it's cool, Mr Multiple! That was a nice surprise last year, hope that helps them against Slovenia and Algeria.
Everybody cheer for the New Zealand All Whites today! Kickoff in just over an hour, will be up into the wee hours watching them take on Slovakia. It's going to be tough!

| If the Kiwis play Ritchie McCaw and Dan Carter, Slovakia haven't got a hope. | |

| Hey thanks for that, yep was well worth it staying up until 1:30 AM on a work night for that result!! Very happy for them. Hope this continues the groundswell of support for 'the beautiful game' here in NZ. It may one day overtake the rugby! | |

| The beautiful game it may be, but The All Blacks will ALWAYS be the benchmark in world rugby. I'm South African. | |

| True, I hope the AB's never fade from what they are. Too deeply entwined with NZ's cultural history as well. And hearing a South African call the AB's a benchmark in world rugby is saying a lot! You guys are the kings of rugby union these past few years.
The Springboks are going to be here next month for a test in Wellington, I'm trying to organize tickets would love to see it! Can't wait for World Cup next year. Much anxiety over here about how we'll stack up against the 'Boks, especially after that Super 14 season!
What part of SA are you in?

| Yep, ... with your hosting it next year, I reckon everyone's gonna have to up their game. Watched your demolition of Ireland last week .. (Gotta say - I like the new-look back line of Dagg, Jane, Smith, Stanley, Joe and Dan)
My 2 home bases are Durban and East London (East Coast). I'm currently in China, where the money's better, and the beer is awful. Their women aren't too shabby though.

| Pity about the beer, but at least the situation with the women isn't too bad. I think I'd prefer that to the other way around!
Yeah, the best thing to me to come out of the Ireland game was how well many of the newer, younger players stepped up. I think we get Wales next, in Dunedin. The way this winter's started, it's going to be brutal and I think it's the last game at Carisbrook for all time. They're getting that new stadium going in time for 2011 I believe.
The Welsh will be tough, they put a scare into SA the other week!

| I don't believe you'll have any problems with Wales. Yeah, they did rattle us 2 weeks back, but in all honesty .. you've got to believe those were our "dirt trackers" .. a makeshift team of newbies with 3 days to get to know each other. The French game is a better reflection of our main squad. Having said that, Wales are going to want to bounce back. I reckon the AB's by 14 or more. | |
