| OK! You're done with all your adventuring for the day, and have some APs left to spend... What do you do?? BATTLE!! Here's some points on how to get started. First, if you haven't gotten the Body tree, you're going to need to think about re-allocating your stats, or from here on start purchasing extra health points VIA the Body tree. This will allow you more chances to roll, thus, more chances to win. At least get the points from Thick Skin down to Pin Cushion. This, combined with the Drunk and Warrior trainers will give you 12 health points to fight with. NEXT! How to do it!! Open two tabs, one on your character list, from here, you can edit your character's ATTITUDE. This is important. Changing your stance to suit your opponent is vital to getting that extra 3% that could make the difference in winning or losing. Always remember Shock & Awe beats Smart Moves beats Hit & Run beats Shock & Awe. Doing this is VERY helpful, and has helped jump my stats from a mere 30% battle win ratio to nearly 70%. Keep track of your magic stance, High > Middle > Low > High. when you keep this in mind, you'll have a fair idea on how much, if any to wager. If you notice, there is a vast majority of people using DODGE AND WEAVE armor, simply because there is so much of it available. So I use STICKS AND STONES to beat them. Conversely, most of the best weapons on the newbie marked are STICKS AND STONES so I use MUMBO JUMBO defense to counteract that. This combination is extremely effective for me, especially now that I am in with the Warrior Trainer, who gives me additional chances to win using Sticks and Stones. Finally, keep track of your AR/DR (Attack Rating, Defense Rating) and choose opponents that are equal or lower to yourself. a quick boost in your AR/DR is to maximize your Fannuci Gambit tree in your Cards. While Body, Mind, and Spirit only boost those particular stats, Gambit increases overall AR/DR. KEEP YOUR CARDS RIGHT!
And now that you've decided to fight, how much should you wager? If, like me, you're using Sticks and Stones, Mumbo Jumbo, and Low Magic, you optimally will fight a Sticks and Stones, Dodge and Weave, High Magic User, especially since it only takes 2 seconds to change stance to one that beats theirs. If I find myself equally matched, it comes down to AR/DR. If theirs is higher than mine, I will only wager half, or none at all, hoping for the best. If they are an OPTIMAL opponent, meaning consistently at a disadvantage to me, I will wager a full wager. DO NOT OVER-WAGER. If you lose, you will lose all that you wagered, if you win, you will only get the max wager.
These tips have helped me keep my battle ratio high, allowed me to rake in the cashflow, and keep my Trophy earning from Battles at a prime. I spend all my gains on Trainers and Spells, and am currently (sadly) relying on the Armory for my weapons. When we build our armory up, hopefully we will be able to gear up everyone with good weapons, good armor so that we can all just not worry about those things, instead spend our money on training and spells, which can NOT be gifted.

| The relationship between the Attack and Defense Stances of two opponents is pretty straightforward.
Sticks and Stones > Dodge and Weave > Bows and Bullets > Walking Tank > Fists and Feet > Mumbo Jumbo > Sticks and Stones.
Each Attack Stance has a Defense Stance that it is is strong against, neutral against and weak against. Each Defense stance is either strong, neutral, or weak when facing an Attack. Your Attack and Defense stances each gain a +3%, 0%, or -3% adjustment in combat.
Skills You can shore up your weaknesses by spending your Skill Points.
The "Versus" skills. These help you against opponents using these stances.
Brute (Sticks and Stones); Moving Target (Bows and Bullets); Punching Bag (Fists and Feet)—Body skills Tin Opener (Walking Tank); Windcat Reflex (Dodge and Weave); Focus of Frobozz (Mumbo Jumbo)—Mind, Body, Spirit, respectively Arcane Attunement (High); Enlightenment (Middle); Enchanted Vision (Low)—Spirit skills Steady Nerves (Shock and Awe); Tracker (Hit and Run); Tactician (Smart Moves)—Mind skills
The "With" skills. These help you if you are using the corresponding stance.
Adrenalin Surge (Sticks and Stones); Eagle Eye (Bows and Bullets); Blur (Fists and Feet)—Body skills Tin Can (Walking Tank); Rabid Windcat (Dodge and Weave); ??? (Mumbo Jumbo)—Mind, Body, respectively Creator (High); Divination (Middle); Crafter (Low)—Spirit skills ??? (Shock and Awe); Calculated Strikes (Hit and Run); Strategist (Smart Moves)—Mind skills
Pay attention to the domain that the skill falls under—Mind, Body, Spirit—because you can use your Fanucci cards to further enhance your advantage. (Attitudes and Spell stances worked differently at launch. If you are new to the game, don't worry about this next paragraph.)
It no longer matters whether you are the attacker or defender—bonuses and penalties are static. There are no neutral stances—all stances now have a natural weakness and strength. In short, Attitudes and Magic spells have become rock-paper-scissors like Attack and Defense.
Just like the Attack/Defense, above, the dominant stance has a +3 advantage over the losing stance. The same stance results in +0.
Relationship of the Stances:
High > Medium > Low > High
Attitude stances As with Attack, Defense and Spells, the stance of the fighting attitude you are using has a +3 or -3 bonus against other stances and +0 against an opponent with the same attitude.
Shock and Awe > Smart Moves > Hit and Run > Shock and Awe

| I LOVE this! I just had to post! I've noticed most of the people I'm up against are Smart Moves so I decided to switch to shock and awe. I've also noticed a bunch of people have middle magic and I happen to have High magic so I'm like trouncing people and it is FUN! | |

| I've noticed a LOT of people use middle or high magic... I'm happy with low. And yes, tons of people use smart moves. I use shock and awe now, myself. Loving it. | |

| ANOTHER new and helpful thing in battle!!! Go to INVENTORY, then to ARMORY, then SPECIAL, there you will see, for a mere pittance of 15,000 zm you can buy St. Quakko's Protection charm! No more loss of fame due to losing a battle when you're off in meat world land earning a living while some slacker farms you for fame and money!!! It's a new thing to me, a charm for zms instead of nuts. I just found it my own personal self too so I'm extra excited about it.

| Yeah, I've purchased the weak chocolaty death for a couple of toons, or else some spells like them. I am working on acquiring the matching attack/defense spell, but at 130,000 zms EACH it's a hard road to go.
Carrie. I know that you worked extra hard to win your 1.k fame. I had almost 3k, and lost nearly ALL of it in one single battle. Just one. Someone at -4 levels to me challenged and won while I was offline. I had 200 fame when I got back. Trust me, Fame is so easy to build, but with this charm you won't lose it when challenged, and it will make that 10.000 fame trophy so much easier to get.

| Yeah I wonder how much longer the Easter stuff will be up for. And if/when it's replaced by the next batch of holiday stuff, will Easter stuff become obsolete?? I'd hate to scrimp and save (no Accountant) for one of those goodies, only to have it become second-best in a month or two. | |

| I don't think it will become Obsolete, but I do think that it will be not "as" powerful as the next stuff, which I expect to cost more. Two days in battle grounds, and I bought a St.Quakko's AND An easter spell. | |

| So I need to check settings somewhere apparently. I've lost two battles while offline... I intended to NOT battle at all, at least not till I wanted to. | |

You can't opt out of battle. You can always be attacked. Best thing is that if you haven't been battling, you can't lose fame... but your battle ratio still drops. Get your self that St. Quakko charm, which prevents fame loss (if you care about such a thing... bragging rights, really) and that's about it.

| DO NOT HIT THESE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE ST. QUAKKO'S AMULET!
Ok, apparently there is a guild dedicated to helping poor souls get the 100k fame trophy. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE AMULET, YOU WILL LOSE YOUR FAME AS QUICK AS YOU GET IT. That said. Here's their guild link... Have fun, boys and girls!
